Delicious: Emily's Taste of Truth Walkthough and Tips

Please Note: I play on PC only, and may not be able to help you with any other platform.

The gameplay for Delicious: Emily's Taste of Truth is standard, and just like the other recent Delicious games.  There is a basic walkthough built into the game each time it introduces something new.  I'll provide screenshots for Carl the Mouse, and any tips that I can, level by level.

Special Customers: There are four special customer types.  

1- Granny: She takes longer to decide but her hearts don't decrease as quickly.  She is found in Napoli's, Bernadette's and the last levels of Purely Plants.

2- The Influencer: There are both male and female customers, and they don't ask for a specific item.  They will show a hashtag (#) over their head, and will take whatever is first on your tray.  They are in Seas the Day and Purely Plants.  Tip: Pick out a more expensive item for them, such as fish, to get more points.  Also, serve them AFTER you serve everyone else's order on your tray so that you will be certain to give them what you want.

3- Impatient Man: This is a customer who only arrives with three hearts, and those hearts decrease quickly.  He appears at O'Fannon's Pub, Bernadette's, and the last levels of Purely Plants.

4- Forgetful Teens: Their order will only show for five seconds, then will disappear.  It will reappear again for five seconds.  He appears at Wonder State BBQ and Purely Plants.

Helpers and Interior Upgrades: You now have to buy helpers and upgrades with the coins you earn.  You must have upgrades and/or helpers for some levels, to be able to earn three stars.

Upgrades Tip: I was able to earn three stars on all levels playing on normal difficulty.  At the beginning of each restaurant I list all the upgrades that I used for that location.

Upgrades Tip 2: It is also possible to purchase all the upgrades needed and earn all the awards.  I went back after I finished the game and bought everything with coins left over.

Note about Avatar Rank: To earn enough points to win the final avatar rank, I would have to go back and replay nearly the whole game on hard to get credit for more stars, and I just didn't have the desire to do it.  Has anyone done it yet?

Decor Upgrades: These are purchased with diamonds and don't do anything to help the gameplay.

Food Truck Mural: Diamonds can also be used to purchase decorations for the van; they do not affect gameplay either.

Bonuses:  Bonuses are earned for delivering full orders, cleaning more than one table in a row, serving 2 or more in a row, checking out 2 or more in a row, having the restaurant clean at the end of the level, and clicking on Carl the Mouse.

Deleting Items: If you put something on your tray that you don't need, click on it and it will be discarded.

Restaurant 1: Napoli's

Tip: I achieved 3 stars on all levels by using these upgrades: "Chef's Calzone", "In a Row Bonus",  all three levels of "Tray Size", and only Paige as my helper.

Level 1:

This level is a basic introduction.

Challenge: Serve full orders only.

Mouse Location:

Level 1-1:

Challenge: Don't check out customers with fewer than 3 hearts.

Tip: Don't wait to check out multiple customers at a time for the bonus.  Check them out as quickly as you can.

Mouse Location:

Level 3:

Challenge: Clean the tables quickly.  A timer will start when the customer gets up to pay the bill.  Click on the table to clean it before the timer runs out.  

Tip: Clicking on the table will stop the timer, even if Emily has a chain of things to do before getting to the table.

Tip: Silverware is now available.  To restock it, click on the bottom right cabinet.  Clicking on anything else will interrupt her and she will stop.

Mini Game: The pizza box mini game begins in this level.  Click on the delivery man before the green runs out of his thought bubble.  Then, click the numbers on the box in the correct order.

Level 4:

Challenge: Make 8 quick bonuses.

Tip: Don't wait to make a serving chain combo, simply serve as quickly as you can until you complete the challenge.

Tip: The Granny will begin to appear now.  She takes longer to order, but stays patient longer.

Challenge: Don't run out of cutlery/silverware.

Challenge: Find the 8 salamanders.

Challenge: Customers are more impatient; don't lose any customers.

Tip: Try for quick service bonuses instead of serving combos, so that customers don't have to wait.

Challenge: Don't burn the calzones.

Tip: Lots of customers will order calzones. Make sure you have purchased all six slots for your tray, then keep making calzones so that you have one of each on your tray.  By making them in advance, even if you have to miss out on serving combos, you'll be able to stay ahead of the rush.

Tip: I had to come back and replay it after I had purchased the calzone upgrade to be able to get three stars.

Challenge: Give 6 bonuses from serving combos.

Tip: It will be easier to do if you have purchased all six slots for your tray.

Challenge: Don't cross off any items from your tray.

Challenge: Only serve full orders.

Challenge: Don't let any customers drop below 4 hearts.

Tip: Don't wait to make combos, just serve quickly and check out quickly.  If you can't reach three stars, come back when you can buy upgrades and give it another try.

Tip: I earned three stars using the radio and the calzone upgrade.

Challenge: Restock cutlery and/or glasses five times.  

Tip: Restock each time you use one until you reach five times; don't wait until you need more than one.

Restaurant 2: Seas the Day

Tip: I achieved 3 stars on all levels by using these upgrades: all three levels of the "Full Order Bonus", the third level of "Tray Size", the first level of "Clean Speed", "Side Objective Bonus", "Premium Cuban Sandwich", "Mahi Mahi Fish", Rosie (for level 20), Emmy (for level 20), Vito (for level 20) and Paige.

Level 11:

Challenge: Get 6 quick bonuses.

The Influencer begins on this level.  You will recognize him/her because they request a hashtag (#) instead of an item.  They will take the first item (or two) off of your tray.  

Tips: Be sure and serve them last if you are making a combo, so that they will get what you want them to get.  Also, you can serve them the most expensive things (like fish) to earn more points.

Challenge: Pass the ball to the surfer when she/he asks.  There are four different colors, and they will be requested specifically.  They will have a green thought bubble over their head with the requested color.  Click on the ball, then on the surfer before the green runs out.

Locations:

Tip: Coconut drinks have to be restocked by clicking on the coconut tree at the upper left hand side of the screen.

The surfboard mini game starts in this level.  You have to rotate the arrows in the circle until the black arrow is in the green part of the bar.

Challenge: Customer's will order a lot of drinks.

Challenge: Help Paige by doing the surfboard mini game with her when she requests it (4 times).

Challenge: Serve Paige her requests 5 times.

Tip: It will always be a coconut drink and a towel.

Note: The lounge chair Paige is standing beside is unusable in this level, so you'll only have two seats for customers.

Challenge: Don't delete any items from your tray.

Challenge: Decorate Paddy's birthday cake by clicking on it.  It will take a bit to finish, and you can click on any item to make Emily leave the cake and do something else.  Just be sure to send her back in between tasks.

Challenge: Don't check out customers with less than 3 hearts.

Challenge: Serve birthday cake when requested.

Challenge: There will be a lot of requests for the surfboard mini game.

Challenge: Don't let Emily stand still for too long.  The green meter will begin to run down every time she stands still.  Don't let it run out.

Tip: Send her to the coconut or the crab trap any time you need her to move.

Challenge: Serve two customers at a time 8 times.  

Tip: Having the "Premium Cuban Sandwich" upgrade will help you earn three stars on this level.

Challenge: Clean up the trash.

Challenge: Click on Emily's phone when the thought bubble appears over it.

Tip: I bought Rosie, Vito, and Emmy for this location to be able to earn three stars.

Restaurant 3: O'Fannon's Pub

Tip: I achieved 3 stars on all levels by using these upgrades: all three levels of "Tray Size", "Quick Service Bonus", "Side Objective Bonus", level one of "Clean Speed", all three levels of "All Clean Bonus", "Lager Pint", "Cheese and Onion Crisps", Flannery (beginning at level 29), and Paige.

Level 21:

Challenge: Serve the O'Malley family four times.

Tip: It will always be chips and cake.

The impatient man starts this level.  Don't try to make serving combo chains with him; try to get the fast bonus instead.

Challenge: Talk to Flannery when the green thought bubble appears.

The glasses mini game start this level.  Drag the glass to it's matching spot.

Challenge: Don't let anyone leave without being served.

Challenge: Don't let a fight break out.  Click on the man with the thought bubble to make him move back.

Challenge: Clean the wax figurine by clicking on it.  Clicking on anything else will cause Emily to stop.  Just be sure to send her back until it's finished.

Challenge: Don't let Emily stand still long enough for the meter to run out.  Send her to the fryer if you need to make her move.

Challenge: Straighten the bookshelf.  Clicking on anything else will interrupt Emily.  Just be sure to send her back in between customers.

Tip: A customer will come in requesting four fries.  Grab three, then refill the fries and grab the fourth.

Tip: I achieved 3 stars on all levels by using these upgrades: Rosie (from level 36 on), Augustine, all three levels of  "Tray Size",  two levels of "Clean Speed", one level of "All Clean Bonus",  "In a Row Bonus", "Side Objective Bonus", "Coffee with Foam", "Fancy Bloody Mary"

Level 31:

Challenge: Prepare the gumbo by serving the pot when the thought bubble appears.

Note: The patient Granny customer is back in this restaurant.

Tip: To restock juice, click on the fruit tree.

Challenge: Listen to Vito playing the drums by doing the drum mini game.

Tip: The drum mini game starts in this level.  Click on the highlighted drum.

Challenge: Get 6 quick bonuses for serving customers quickly, despite the fact that Emily is moving very slowly.

Challenge: Click on the phone when the green thought bubble appears.

Challenge: Check on Patrick by clicking on the green thought bubble by the window when it appears.

Note: The singer will request several things throughout the level, from drinks to the microphone, to the drum mini game.  Pay close attention.

Tip: I achieved 3 stars on all levels by using these upgrades: Lyric, Emmy, Vito (from level 47 on), Teyana (from 5-5 on), all three levels of "Tray Size", "Side Objective Bonus", all three levels of "All Clean Bonus",  "Mouse Bonus", all three levels of "Clean Speed", "Hot Sauce Bottles", "Ice Cream Sundae", "Strawberry Milkshake", "Large Water Tube", "Peach Soda", "Brisket", and "Whole Chicken".

Level 41:

Challenge: Don't delete any items from your tray.

Note: The grill will request wood.  To restock the wood, click on the axe at the bottom left of the screen.

Note: The teenager becomes a customer in this level.  Their order will only show for five seconds, then will disappear.  It will reappear again for five seconds.

Tip: I achieved 3 stars on all levels by using these upgrades: Chewy, Paige, all three levels of "Tray Size", all three levels of "Full Order Bonus",  "Quick Service Bonus", "Side Objective Bonus",  all three levels of "Clean Speed", "Vegan Chili with Toppings", "Spicy Chai Latte", "Loaded Vegan Burrito", "Biodegradable Cutlery", and "Fried Pickles".

Level 51:

Challenge: Don't talk to the customer in a green shirt and sunglasses:

Tip: The mini game is to make the frozen dessert.  Click on the items as they become highlighted.
