Passengers arrive with hearts over their heads. The more hearts, the happier the passenger. Doing tasks quickly will add to their hearts. If they wait too long, they will loose hearts. You need to earn a certain number of hearts each level to achieve the score needed. A passenger will earn a golden heart if they are completely happy. Passengers with golden hearts will not loose happiness.
Tip: Let your golden heart passengers wait at the check out until you have several to check out at once; that way you get bonus hearts.
Some tasks will have green bubbles; perform these before the color runs out to keep the customer happy and to earn a quick bonus.
Some tasks will have blue bubbles. These have a minigame that must be played to complete the task. Be sure and click on the customer before the color runs out to keep her happy and to earn a quick bonus.
Some tasks have purple bubbles. These require you to perform an action such as clicking or dragging the mouse.
Doing the same action twice or three times in a row (combo or chain) will help you achieve higher scores. Checking two passengers out at a time will give you a +10 bonus; checking out three will give a +15; you will get even more points the more you check out at a time.
Tip: You can only have 5 passengers waiting at the checkout.
Bonus levels are included. They do not advance the story and do not have to be played, but will give diamonds if you do.
There is an upgrade shop that appears before levels. You earn money to purchase items in the shop by achieving stars on the levels. The items in the shops will give various bonuses. Hoover over the item to see what it will do.
Tip: You can pass the first chapter without buying from the upgrade shop. Save your money to be able to buy the upgrades right at the beginning of Chapter 2.
Carl the mouse appears in every story level. I have provided a screenshot of his location for each one.
He makes a squeaky sound when he appears. He will appear throughout the level, if you don't find him when he first appears. You will get a trophy for finding him in every level.
Trophies are earned in the form of entries in Amber's Diary and are easily gotten just by playing through the game. The one exception is being able to completely personalize Amber's diary. This is because it doesn't seem possible to earn the third diamond on Challenge 25.
Note: There appears to be a glitch in the awards. I have bought all the upgrades, but the diary says I still have two to buy. Anyone else have this problem.
Chapter 1: Check-In
Level 1:
This challenge is to achieve at least one star.
To make the ticket, click the ticket then the green stamp.

This challenge is to study for the exam. Click on the papers next to the register for Amber to study. You can interrupt her any time by clicking on a station.
Passengers at the terminal may request a survey now. They are kept on the counter to the right of the screen. They will need to be restocked from the basket below the suitcase tags.

The challenge for this level is to find as many mice as you can. He will pop up in various locations, and make a squeaky sound as he does. Each one found raises your score.
Level 3:
This challenge is to have 5 passengers with golden hearts.

This challenge is to earn the score by checking in as many passengers as you can. They come in with lower patience, so it can be a tough level.
Level 10:
This challenge is to not let Andrea walk too much. If you run the meter out, she'll slow down.
Tip: Give her a few seconds in between passengers, instead of clicking chains.

Red bins will need to be restocked from the stack below the score bar.

Tip: Click on it at the beginning of the shift and it will be ready to use.

This challenge is to install the second platform by clicking on the box. You can interrupt her any time by clicking on a station. Keep sending her back until it is completed.

DeleteI've won all levels getting all 3 stars and all diamonds on each level, but am 3 diamonds short, so can't purchase the last journal decoration. Does anyone know what I'm missing here? Is there a secret level?
ReplyDeleteNot that I know of; I do know that in another Amber game, there aren't enough diamonds to purchase all the outfits, so they have a history of goofing on the diamonds.
