"Delicious: Emily's Cooking and Romance" Tips and Mouse Locations

Note: I only play games on the PC, so I may not be able to help with other platforms.

When this game was originally released, I played the first restaurant, and half of the second, and quit.  I couldn't get past the cringe-worthy slang by Paige and her friends, quite frankly I didn't like seeing the kids so grown up so quickly, and I found the story to be a bore.  I recently decided to give it another try, and -- once I ignored the plot -- I mostly enjoyed the gameplay.  It's pretty straightforward, so I don't feel it needs a full walkthrough, but I thought I'd post the locations of Carl the Mouse and any tips or screenshots that might also be useful.

If you have any further questions about the game, though, don't hesitate to leave a comment -- I (or another reader) might have an answer for you.  However, I am NOT affiliated with the sellers, developers, or producers of this game, so I can't help with any technical issues.

Also Note: I only play games on the PC, so I may not be able to help with other platforms.

This game plays like the previous Delicious games.  If you would like help with the basics, please see one of the earlier game walkthroughs, such as Delicious: Emily's Message in a Bottle or Delicious: Emily's Road Trip.  If you need more help, just ask!

Note: I only play games on the PC, so I may not be able to help with other platforms.

I originally said that I wasn't going to write a walkthrough for this game, as the gameplay is pretty straightforward, but I thought I'd at least post screenshots of Carl the Mouse's location and any other things that might need an explanation or a tip.  If you have any further questions about the game, though, don't hesitate to leave a comment -- I (or another reader) might have an answer for you.  However, I am NOT affiliated with the sellers, developers, or producers of this game, so I can't help with any technical issues.

"Barbarous - Tavern Of Emyr" Walkthrough and Tips

Barbarous - Tavern Of Emyr is a restaurant time management game that plays like the "Welcome to Primrose Lake", or the early Delicious games (before minigames).  There is a brief tutorial at the beginning of the first level, and a "how to play" section in the menu.

Customers pay for items, and the higher their happiness, the more they pay.  Combo bonus points can be earned by checking out more than one customer at a time, by cleaning more than one table in a row, and by serving more than one customer in a row (without doing anything in between).

You will earn an "all clean" bonus if all the tables are cleaned before the last customer is checked out.

If you pick up an item you don't need, you can delete it from your tray by clicking on it on your tray.

There are three difficulty options, located under setting in the menu.

Challenges occur on each level.  You do not need to complete the challenges to win the story levels, but will gain diamonds if you do.
Tip: If you find you can't achieve three stars (mugs) when doing the challenge, play the level twice.  Once to win the challenge, and a second time ignoring the challenge and just playing to earn three mugs.

A rat appears in every level, and screen shot has been provided for each.  He will make a squeaking sound when he arrives, and only stays for a short period of time.  He will come back if you don't get him the first time.  You will earn extra points each time you find him, and an achievement for finding him on each level.

"Unsung Heroes - The Golden Mask" Walkthough and Tips

"Unsung Heroes - The Golden Mask" is a time management game with gameplay similar to Heart's Medicine or Amber's Airlines, but  with a set up that is somewhat different from other story-based TM games.

Note: The game opens with a long animated story sequence, then the first levels.  You cannot go back to the main menu or the map until you complete this long tutorial.  Once it is over, you can access the map and menu.

There is also a "how to play" section in the main menu which will go through the basics.

There are two parts to the story of the game.  The first part revolves around an archaeological dig taking place in the present, which alternates with the second part, a story about Xi Niu taking place in the past in China.

To unlock Xi Niu's stories, you must first play the preceding archaeological levels, and find the required amount of treasure fragments.  Once you have all the fragments, you'll piece them together into an artifact, which will then unlock a movie and some game levels.

Welcome to Primrose Lake Walkthrough and Tips

Welcome to Primrose Lake is a Time Management game that plays mostly like any other GameHouse Original TM game, but more specifically like the early (pre-minigame) Delicious series.  There is a tutorial at the beginning of the first level that will teach the game basics.  Be sure to play through it, whether you need to or not, as you will earn the "Newbie" achievement for doing so.

The score for the story levels is measured in one, two, or three stars, depending on the amount of points you earn.  You will win the level as long as you earn one star.  The challenge levels have a set amount that must be met, without the option of earning more than one star.

Tip: If you can't reach three stars on a level, you can change the difficulty to a lower setting in the settings menu under the main menu, and retry the level.

Bonuses are earned for chains and combos, and for having a clean location at the end of the level.

Side Objectives:
The levels have a challenge to be completed. Challenges don't have to be completed  but add points if you do complete it.  Each challenge completed earns a diamond.

Tip: Sometimes you can't both complete a challenge and get three stars in a story level.  If this happens, you can play the level twice: once to complete the challenge and once to reach three stars.

Maggie's Movies: Second Shot Walkthrough and Tips

The Basics:
Maggie's Movies: Second Shot is a time management game in which you prepare food, props, and costumes, and serve it to customers.  This game contains an excellent tutorial at the beginning of the first level.

Tip: You can turn off game hints, or change difficulty in the settings menu.

Crew members order items and pay for it.   Click on the product requested, then click on the crew member to serve it.  Some items require multiple actions.

Tip: If you make a mistake and put something on your tray that you don't need, click on it and it will be removed from the tray.

When a customer is waiting to pay you will see an image of bills and coins; the coins represent the tip.  The higher the customer happiness--the more hearts a customer has--the greater the tip.    Customers will become impatient and pay lower tips if they have to wait in line behind other customers for too long.  Angry customers will leave and you'll be penalized.

When a customer arrives at the counter to pay, a thought bubble will show a stack of money and a stack of coins.  The coins are the tip amount; as a customer decreases in happiness the tip amount will decrease as well. Doing the same action twice or three times in a row (chains) will help you achieve higher scores by giving you combo bonuses.  Combos can be earned by having two or three complete orders prepared on your tray, and serving them to the customers without an interruption to do another task.  Serving two customers gets you the a combo bonus of  +11; three customers gives +16; four in a row earns +21.

Combos can also occur when using the cash register.  When you check out two customers at the same time, you get a combo bonus for +10, three customers together give a bonus of +20.  Note that this is not two customers in a row, but rather at the same time.  When customers are ready to pay, they will stand at the counter; wait until you have two or three waiting to pay and one click of the cash register will take care of them all at once.
Tip: Plan to serve complete orders only, as doing this will give you a Full Order bonus of +5 per table or counter customer.

An All Clean +30 bonus will be earned for having a clean set at the end of the level. The Full Stock +20 bonus is earned for having all products fully stocked at the end of the level.

Amber's Airlines -- 7 Wonders Walkthrough and Tips

Amber's Airline--7 Wonders is a time management game that plays a lot like the Heart's
Medicine games.  There is a good basic walkthrough at the beginning of the first level.

Passengers arrive with hearts over their heads.  The more hearts, the happier the passenger.  Doing tasks quickly will add to their hearts.  If they wait too long, they will lose hearts.  You need to earn a certain number of hearts each level to achieve the score needed.  A passenger will earn a golden heart if they are completely happy.  Passengers with golden hearts will not lose happiness.
Tip: Let your golden heart passengers wait at the check out until you have several to check out at once; that way you get bonus hearts.

Some tasks will have green bubbles; perform these before the color runs out to keep the customer happy and to earn a quick bonus.

Some tasks will have blue bubbles.  These have a minigame that must be played to complete the task.  Be sure and click on the customer before the color runs out to keep her happy and to earn a quick bonus.

Some tasks have purple bubbles.  These require you to perform an action such as clicking or dragging the mouse.

Julie's Sweets Walkthrough and Tips

Julie's Sweets is a time management game that plays exactly like the Delicious family of games (it's identical down to the sounds).  There is a "how to play" walkthrough on the options menu, and a walkthrough is available at the beginning of the first level.  (You can look at my walkthroughs for any of the Delicious games, but most especially Emily's Taste of Fame,  to learn the basics of the game and of making combos/chains.  The only difference is that this game does not give combo points for serving chains.)

On each level, there is a kitten that will pop up and meow.  Finding her will give you +100 points.  I've provided a screenshot of her location for each level.  You will earn a trophy if you find her on all 60 levels.

Heart's Medicine: Hospital Heat Walkthrough and Tips

Heart's Medicine: Hospital Heat is a time management game where you play as Allison, a hospital intern, in various locations, serving patients in a variety of ways.  This game has challenge levels as well as regular story levels, and includes mini games.

Basics:
This game offers a very nice tutorial at the beginning.  Even if you are very familiar with time management games, I recommend you play through the tutorial to accustom yourself to the gameplay.

Game hints are also available and will walk you through any new features of the game.

Tip: If you put something on your tray that you don't want, click on it to remove it.

The score is calculated by the amount of hearts you earn over the course of the shift.  Patients arrive with a certain number of hearts.  When you check out a patient, you earn the number of hearts the patient then has.  You must work quickly to keep the patients from loosing hearts.  "Quick action", "quick assign",  and "quick treatment" will cause the patient to gain a heart.  The mini games will also gain hearts for the patients.  Waiting too long or loosing a mini game will cause a patient to loose a heart.

Bonuses: Checking out two patients in a row gives you a +1 bonus, three or more patients in a row gives a  bonus  of +2 at checkout.
Gold heart patients give an addition bonus of +1 at checkout.  Treating multiple patients in a row gives a Treatment Chain bonus of +1 per patient.
You can also earn an extra heart by getting a quick bonus.  The color on the thought balloon shows the quick bonus; when all the color is drained out, the bonus is gone.

Each level offers a challenge which is a bonus task to be completed.  You can still pass the level without completing the challenge, but if you do complete it you will gain a diamond at the end of the level.  Hearts are also added to your score for completing a challenge.

There are five Challenge Levels per department.  These do not advance the story and may be skipped if you wish, but if you do complete it you will gain up to three diamonds (depending on your score) at the end of the level.  Oliver the guinea pig is not in the challenge levels.

For each challenge you complete (regular level or challenge level), you will earn diamonds.  These are used to purchase decorations for Allison's apartment.

For each star you earn when you complete a level, you will earn 100 credits of shopping money.  This will allow you to upgrade the departments in the Shop.  You do not earn shopping money from completing challenge levels.  You will need to replay levels to earn enough money for all the upgrades.
