Maggie's Movies: Second Shot is a time management game in which you prepare food, props, and costumes, and serve it to customers. This game contains an excellent tutorial at the beginning of the first level.
Tip: You can turn off game hints, or change difficulty in the settings menu.Crew members order items and pay for it. Click on the product requested, then click on the crew member to serve it. Some items require multiple actions.
Tip: If you make a mistake and put something on your tray that you don't need, click on it and it will be removed from the tray.
When a customer is waiting to pay you will see an image of bills and coins; the coins represent the tip. The higher the customer happiness--the more hearts a customer has--the greater the tip. Customers will become impatient and pay lower tips if they have to wait in line behind other customers for too long. Angry customers will leave and you'll be penalized.
When a customer arrives at the counter to pay, a thought bubble will show a stack of money and a stack of coins. The coins are the tip amount; as a customer decreases in happiness the tip amount will decrease as well. Doing the same action twice or three times in a row (chains) will help you achieve higher scores by giving you combo bonuses. Combos can be earned by having two or three complete orders prepared on your tray, and serving them to the customers without an interruption to do another task. Serving two customers gets you the a combo bonus of +11; three customers gives +16; four in a row earns +21.Combos can also occur when using the cash register. When you check out two customers at the same time, you get a combo bonus for +10, three customers together give a bonus of +20. Note that this is not two customers in a row, but rather at the same time. When customers are ready to pay, they will stand at the counter; wait until you have two or three waiting to pay and one click of the cash register will take care of them all at once.
Tip: Plan to serve complete orders only, as doing this will give you a Full Order bonus of +5 per table or counter customer.
An All Clean +30 bonus will be earned for having a clean set at the end of the level. The Full Stock +20 bonus is earned for having all products fully stocked at the end of the level.

New to this game is the Flow Meter, which starts at level 4. It is located in the upper left corner of the screen. When you serve cast members and earn combos, the red bar fills up. It will gradually empty, but doing more actions causes it to fill again. Filling it causes the top bar to fill. Once you fill the top bar completely, you earn a bonus.
Quick Time Orders happen when the cast member has a green or blue thought bubble over her head. You must serve the order before the color runs out of the bubble.
The score for the story levels is measured in one, two, or three stars, depending on the amount of points you earn. You will win the level as long as you earn one star. The challenge levels have a set amount that must be met, without the option of earning more than one star.
Tip: If you can't reach three stars on a level, you can change the difficulty to a lower setting in the settings menu under the main menu, and retry the level.
Side Objectives and Challenge Levels:
Most levels have a challenge to be completed, and there are challenge levels to complete. Challenges don't have to be completed in the regular story levels, but add points if you do complete it. Each challenge completed, whether in a challenge level or story level, earns a diamond.
Tip: Sometimes you can't both complete a challenge and get three stars in a story level. If this happens, you can play the level twice: once to complete the challenge and once to reach three stars.
Product Menu:
The menu is shown before each level. Each product has several varieties that you can unlock. Clicking on the item on the menu tab will tell you how many need to be sold to unlock the next variety. Once unlocked, you can choose to use the new product. Each product offers different bonuses, which you can read about on the product's page. To see the item options, click on "menu" at the beginning of the level.
Leon the Lizard
Leon the lizard (chameleon) will appear in every story level. He will make a noise, and will appear for a few seconds. Clicking on him will give you a bonus 100 points. I have included a screen shot of his location for every level.
You will receive the "Leon" trophy for finding him on all levels.
Shop:
The shop is accessed at the beginning of each level. Clicking on an item will tell you what bonus each upgrade gives, or what it does. Money is earned by earning stars on the story levels. You earn 100 for each star.
Tip: You can easily get through the first movie set without the bonuses from the upgrades. Save your decoration money, and you will be able to buy all the decorations for the second one right at the beginning.

Awards
Awards are earned in the form of people on the movie set. Most will be earned just by playing through the game.
To earn the "Maggie" trophy, watch the credits, located on the top left hand side of the main screen.
To earn "Alicia" you must serve 50 angry cast members. I suggest moving the difficulty to expert and playing some of the harder levels to earn this trophy.
To earn "Actress" go to the "Who is Who" page and click on each cast member. You will need to wait until you have unlocked all the characters first.
Chapter 1: Setting Sails
Level 1
Side Objective: Give out two sets of clothes. This will happen in the regular game play.
Dressing rooms and tables must be cleaned when the cast members leave. Click on it when it has the exclamation point over it, and Maggie will clean it.
Swords must be restocked from the box in the upper right hand corner.
To make a costume, click on each piece from left to right. Costumes can be made with and without the gold bracelet, so pay attention to the order.

Level 2
Side Objective: Reset the circuit breaker, by clicking on the yellow star that is over it. Maggie will begin to work on it. You can interrupt her at anytime by clicking on an item or station, but be sure and send her back to finish it in between tasks.

Side Objective: Successfully serve all the Quick Time Orders orders. Quick Time Orders happen when the cast member has a green or blue thought bubble over her head. You must serve the order before the color runs out of the bubble.
Colored filters will be requested. Click on the box on the top right hand of the screen, next to the restocking box. Three colors will be shown; click on the one needed.
When Maggie orders the clapperboard, you don't have to take it to her. Just click on it and Jack will do the rest.

Challenge 1: Earn enough points to complete the level.
Level 4
Side Objective: Achieve maximum flow 3 times. The Flow Meter is located in the upper left corner of the screen. When you serve cast members and earn combos, the red bar fills up. It will gradually empty, but doing more actions causes it to fill again. Filling it causes the top bar to fill. Once you fill the top bar completely, you earn a bonus.
Tip: See Challenge 3 for a tip on how to keep the meter filling up, because by keeping the bottom meter full, you'll achieve maximum flow easier.
Level 5Side Objective: Bring Maggie the script when she asks for it. It is located under the counter next to the drink.
To make a meal, click on the coffee cup, then the apple, then the sandwich. Meals may be requested without an apple, so pay attention to the order.
Coffee cups will need to be refilled. To make coffee, click on the coffee pot. When the meter hand is in the green, click again and the coffee cups will refill.

Level 6
Side Objective: Earn at least 8 doubloons by firing the cannon. To play this mini game, click on the targets on the side of the ship.
To prepare the rockets, click three times on the same color for all three colors, or click once on each color from left to right.

Challenge 2: Serve all quick time orders successfully (these are the orders with colored thought balloons).
Level 7
Side Objective: Consult Javier. There is a yellow bar beside him which slowly runs out. Click on him regularly to refill the bar. If you let the bar run out, you will loose the challenge.

Side Objective: Get rid of the bottles by clicking on them. Locations marked below.

Side Objective: Check out 10 ecstatic crew members. Ecstatic means they have 5 hearts. Delivering the full order will add a heart, so if a crew member has 4 hearts over their head, they will have 5 hearts at check out.

Challenge 3: Don't let the flow meter run down.
Tip: The key to this is to space out your orders. At the beginning of the level, let several cast members stack up, then wait to serve each one until the meter has run down a bit. Each one you serve fills the meter back up. Then, once you have the top Flow Meter full, the lower meter resets, but doesn't show until you serve your first person. Again, let the cast members stack up, so that you have a lot to serve. Then serve them slowly, letting the meter run down a bit between each one. It took me three tries, but I did finally get it!
Level 10
Side Objective: Give yogurt to the crew when they request it.
Tip: You will have just enough orders for yogurt, so be sure not to miss any!

Chapter 2: Island Fever
Level 11
Side Objective: Hand the tools to the scenographer when requested. Locations marked below.
To make the fruit bowl, click on the bowl first, then the desired fruit three times.

Side Objective: Fill the main Flow Meter four times. The trick to this is the same as in Challenge 3, because by keeping the meter full, you'll reach maximum flow easier.

Side Objective: Keep Alicia and Vickie from fighting by clicking on them when the exclamation point appears. Be sure to click before the green runs out of the thought bubble, or you'll loose the challenge.

Challenge 4: Find Leon. He will pop up in random spots throughout the scene, but always makes a noise when he does. I'm not sure how many times he has to be found, as I couldn't keep count, but he only appears a certain number of times, so be sure to find him as many times as early as possible.
Level 14
Side Objective: Dry the wet counters/tables. This must be done before you can serve the product on/under the counter. You'll have to let a few cast members get angry in order to get the surfaces dry.
Film Mini Game: To play this mini game, you must click on the symbol shown when the meter is in the green under a doubloon. You must click before the meter leaves the green.

Side Objective: Find all of the newspapers and put them in the basket located at the bottom middle of the screen. Locations marked below.
The juice machine has to be restocked from the mango tree to the right of the dressing rooms. You can have a maximum of six stocked at a time. To make the drink, click on the machine, then click on it again when the meter hand is in the green.

Side Objective: Keep an eye on Javier by clicking on him regularly to refill the meter. If the meter runs out of color, you loose the challenge.

Challenge 5: Don't stand still for too long. The meter in the upper right hand side will show how long you have until you must move. If it runs out, you loose the challenge.
Tip: Send Maggie to the mango tree or to Javier to keep her moving.
Level 17
Side Objective: Earn 12 doubloons on the mini game.
Note: You will have to earn a perfect score of 4 doubloons each time you play.

Side Objective: Don't let anyone drop below three hearts.
Tip: If you are having a hard time with this, don't wait to make chains. Instead serve them as quickly as you can individually.

Side Objective: Fill 10 orders with quick bonuses.
Tip: Don't wait to make chains; serve individually until you finish the challenge.
Tip: If you find you can't make the third star by not making chains, play the level twice; once to meet the challenge and then a second time ignoring the challenge to earn the third star.

Challenge 6: The more inventory you carry, the slower Balthazar moves.
Tip: It's best to ignore chains and serve one at a time.
Level 20
Side Objective: Comfort Alicia by clicking on her when the exclamation point appears over her head. Balthazar will go to her, so it won't interrupt Maggie's serving.

Side Objective: Answer the calls by clicking on the phone when it rings. Be sure and click before the green runs out of the thought bubble.
Cables must be restocked from the box next to the phone.
To serve coins, click on it three times.

Side Objective: Give Al coffee when he requests it.
Tip: As soon as he comes on screen, go ahead and make the coffee, as you know he's going to order it.

Side Objective: Earn 8 doubloons on the mini game.
Tip: Once you earn the Vanilla Time coffee, you can always have one prepared on the coffee maker as it does not spill. Just start the machine every time to take one off.

Challenge 7: Don't walk too much. The meter in the upper right hand corner will show how much Jack has walked. If it runs out of yellow, you loose the challenge.
Tip: Serve in chains, so that you don't go back and forth to the same area.

Side Objective: Mediate between Maggie and Javier by clicking on them when the exclamation point appears.

Tip: To play the mini game, drag the red ball the direction of the arrow.

Challenge 10: The challenge says "keep everything fully stocked", but what it really means is to not run out of anything.
Tip: Alicia will order a piece at the very end, so you must be quick to reorder before the level finishes.

Side Objective: Receive the packages from the courier.
Tip: Remember that you must get to him before the color runs out of the thought bubble.

Note: Do not clean six in a row, and expect to get credit for two three-in-a-row cleanings. You'll need to do something in between before starting another set of three.
Tip: To play the sound board mini game, use the bottom slide to pull the graph into the right length. Then use the side slide to pull it into the right height.

Side Objective: Don't let Al's partners stay on the set. Click on them when the exclamation point appears over their heads.

To make the gift bags, click first on the CD to Deigo's right, then the doll (if requested), then the pink bag.
CD Mini Game: To restock CDs, click on Diego. Maggie will go to him, then a mini game will pop up. To play the mini game, drag the card on the bottom to the image on the top that matches the symbol on top of the card. Some cards have more than one symbol, so can be used on either. The point is to get one card on each symbol. See below.
Tip: You get two CDs for the first doubloon earned, three for earning two doubloons, and four CDs for earning all three doubloons.
Tip: You can have a maximum of 8 CDs at a time.

Challenge 13: Find Leon. He will appear in various places, but it easy to spot. It doesn't say how many times you have to catch him, and he only appears a certain number of times, so be sure to try and catch him as many times as possible.

To make the drinks, click from left to right on the needed piece. Pay close attention, because not all drinks request a straw.

The punch has to be refilled from the bottle below the counter to the right of the sushi. To serve it, click the punch bowl, then the cup.

Tip: To save steps, make sure you chain orders.

Side Objective: Don't burn any food.
Note: You can cook both the vegetable and the fish at the same time.
