I don't have the time to write a walkthough -- or even play it -- right now, but I'd be interested to hear what you think about the game if you've played it.
I am playing the 2nd restaurant and must say that the game is already hard from the beginning, just as Delicious: Emily's Taste of Truth was. I hope it will be better further on .....
That's good to know! I'm not sure I'm interested in the story, frankly. (I didn't really care for Taste of Truth.) Playing these new ones just makes me want to replay the old ones instead!
There are a couple levels that have bugs in them. One of the bonus levels just refuses to end. You finish everything and the time runs out, but the game doesn't recognize it. People have complained to Gamehouse, but nothing has been done yet. There are other levels that end the minute the time runs out whether you finished with the customers or not.
Since the new developer took over, the stories have suffered tremendously. They also seem to be unfamilar with the previous storylines. For example, this game portrays Emily as though she has no knowledge of the Internet and needs to be taught about the power of the Internet by some "influencer" who moved dto town. But wasn't it 3 games ago that Emily had a video blog and had hired a social media coordinator? The main storyline is that Emily's cooking is in a rut because she's afraid to try anything new. That also doesn't fit with the Emily we know as she was always willing to experiment with new flavors, etc. She hears from former customers that they're annoyed that she doesn't have time to sit down and chat and that the menu is always the same. Emily loses her restaurant in a fire (once again, it's incompetent Patrick's fault for thinking he can fix the stove) and works at other restaurants to get some inspiration for the future. The main problem I had with the story was that everyone behaved as though Emily's Place was the only restaurant she had. In the last several games, we've seen that Emily has at least 3 restaurants - one in her yard, the Italian one, and Emily's Place. Whatever happened to those?
I completely agree. They don't seem to have any familiarity with the previous stories. I'm glad I decided not to try this one right away. I've not heard anything particularly good about it except on the GameHouse site.
"There are a couple levels that have bugs in them. One of the bonus levels just refuses to end. You finish everything and the time runs out, but the game doesn't recognize it. For the rest I agree with all of you on everything.
OMG finally, someone else with the same problem. I emailed support and they emailed back asking for pictures and to be more detailed. I told them "the oven stops making cookies", you cannot be more detailed and pictures are pointless.
I'm currently playing it, am on the last restaurant and am just now looking for a cheat for a hidden object one and am honestly loving it. It combines a lot of past characters with only a couple of new ones and has a great story line about change vs traditional and finding the middle ground and of course the typical delicious theme of community and family coming together during times of adversity. Whatever bugs others seem to find, I haven't seen them, but maybe I started playing after they were already fixed? Idk why someone said they didn't seem to be in touch with past games? Because they routinely mention past games as well as spin offs repeatedly throughout the game and include some past characters from older games and the newer ones
I just finished it and I have to say it is much better than taste of truth. Defo not hard like the truth one has a simular gamestyle like cooking and romance mixing old and new characters not so much slang language and the story is completely good for me . Love it
Not sure what you mean by "comes up with a tick," but there are a couple levels where customers deliberately ask for the wrong things with their order. For example, they will ask for an apple soup instead of an onion. You're supposed to give them the correct item instead of what they ask for...
Are you doing a walkthrough for this one? I'm really stuck on level 44. I can't figure out the bonus for this one and there's no walkthrough that helps at all.

DeleteAnyway, keep us posted on how it goes!

DeleteCompletely agree! The bugs and the storyline are such basic mistakes. A complete lack of respect for the players and the Emily history.

DeleteYes, I agree. These new ones are so frustrating!
DeleteIn Level 27 the oven is not working, so you stuck in the game. Hope they will fix it

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that!
DeleteDoes anyone know what it means when you fill someones order and it comes up with a tick and then runs out of hearts and they walk out?
ReplyDeleteI don't, of course, since I've not played it, but maybe someone will see this and be able to help!

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry, but I've not even played a level of it yet!
DeleteI've played the game through once and finished it. What exactly are you stuck on?
