The Basics:Delicious: Emily's Home Sweet Home is a time management game in which you prepare food and serve it to customers. This game contains an excellent tutorial at the beginning of the first level. If you are an experienced player of the Delicious games, you can skip it, but I advise players less familiar with the Delicious games to play it through. Game hints are also provided, to explain new features. These hints can be turned off in the settings menu.
Customers order food and pay for it. Click on the product requested, then click on the customer to serve it. Some items require multiple actions. Counter customers will immediately check out, while table customers take time to eat.
Tip: If you make a mistake and put something on your tray that you don't need, click on it and it will be removed from the tray.
When a customer is waiting to pay you will see an image of bills and coins; the coins represent the tip. The higher the customer happiness--the more hearts a customer has--the greater the tip. Unfortunately, the customers don't have happiness levels shown by a number of hearts next to them as many other games do, so you have to pay attention to customer facial expressions to know how they are feeling. You will know if a customer has maximum happiness (is ecstatic) because there will be a pulsing heart next to his head. If a customer is angry, his face becomes red. If he becomes furious it is shown by a storm cloud; a furious customer needs to be served immediately or he will leave and you will be penalized -50. Customers will become impatient and pay lower tips if they have to wait in line behind other customers for too long.
When a customer arrives at the counter to pay, a thought bubble will show a stack of money and a stack of coins. The coins are the tip amount; as a customer decreases in happiness the tip amount will decrease as well.
Challenges and Challenge Levels
Challenges don't have to be completed in the regular story levels, but add points if you do complete it. Each challenge completed, whether in a challenge level or story level, earns a diamond which are used to decorate Emily's House.
You can click on the pause button during a level and access the "customers" tab, which will tell about each customer type for that location, and how patient they are. It is valuable to know which customers you can make wait while you plan a chain.
Doing the same action twice or three times in a row (chains) will help you achieve higher scores by giving you combo bonuses. Combos can be earned by having two or three complete orders prepared on your tray, and serving them to the customers without an interruption* to do another task. Serving two customers gets you the a combo bonus of +11; three customers gives +16; four in a row earns +21.
*Serving customer orders can be interrupted by using the cash register, and the chain will not be broken.
Combos can also occur when using the cash register. When you check out two customers at the same time, you get a combo bonus for +11, three customers together give a bonus of +20. Note that this is not two customers in a row, but rather at the same time. When customers are ready to pay, they will stand at the counter; wait until you have two or three waiting to pay and one click of the cash register will take care of them all at once.
Combos can also occur when using the cash register. When you check out two customers at the same time, you get a combo bonus for +11, three customers together give a bonus of +20. Note that this is not two customers in a row, but rather at the same time. When customers are ready to pay, they will stand at the counter; wait until you have two or three waiting to pay and one click of the cash register will take care of them all at once.
Tip: Plan to serve complete orders only, as doing this will give you a bonus of +5 per table or counter customer.
Tip: A +10 bonus is available for quick service. If you earn 250 quick bonuses, you will earn a trophy, "the Quick Bunny".
The score for the story levels is measured in one, two, or three stars, depending on the amount of points you earn. You will win the level as long as you earn one star. The challenge levels have a set amount that must be met, without the option of earning more than one star.
Tip: If you can't reach three stars on a level, you can change the difficulty to a lower setting under the main menu and retry the level.
Entertainers become available in each location. To use an entertainer, click first on the entertainer and then on the table you want him/her to entertain. After the entertainer finishes, that table will gain one heart.
Challenges and Challenge Levels
Tip: Sometimes you can't both complete a challenge and get three stars in a story level. If this happens, you can play the level twice: once to complete the challenge and once to reach three stars.
Unlocking food
Each product has several varieties that you can unlock. Clicking on the item on the menu tab will tell you how many need to be sold to unlock the next variety. Once unlocked, you can choose to use the new product. Each product offers different bonuses, which you can read about on the product's page. To see the item options, click on "menu" at the beginning of the level. There is a trophy for unlocking each product (the Cupcake Beanbag) and one for using each product at least once (the Full Storage Chest).
Carl will appear in every story level. He will make a squeaky sound, and will appear for a few seconds. Clicking on him will give you a bonus 100 points. I have included a screen shot of his location for every level. You can earn a trophy (Carl, the Mouse Cuddly) for finding him in all 60 of the story levels.
Photo Moments
In some of the story scenes, before or after the game level, a camera will appear. Click on it and it will take a photo of a Photo Moment. This will then become a photo in a frame somewhere inside Emily's House. You will earn a trophy (the Little Golden Camera) for capturing all the Photo Moments.
Photo Moments are found in levels 1, 7, 16, 19, 24, 30, 37, 39, 45, 50,51, and 60.

Decorations
To access the decorations, click on "store" at the beginning of the level. Clicking on a decoration will tell you what bonus it gives. Decoration money is earned by earning stars on the story levels. You earn 100 for each star. You will need to earn three stars on at least some of the levels to have enough to buy all the decorations. If you do purchase all the decorations, you will earn the trophy, the Decorative Lamp.
Tip: You can easily get through Emily's Garden without the bonuses from the decorations. Save your decoration money, then, and you will be able to buy all the decorations for Talon Lake right at the beginning.
Diamonds are earned for completing each challenge level, and the challenges in the story levels. These diamonds are used to buy items in Emily's House. You will earn the trophy "the Night Light" for purchasing everything.
Trophies in this game are items for Paige's Room. Many trophies can be earned simply by playing through the game. Here are tips on some of the trophies that need more work to be earned.
The Pink Resting Chair: Walk 100 miles.
Tip: You will have to replay 20 levels or so to earn this trophy.
Paige's Name Sign: See Level 2 for a tip.
The Tiny Band Set: Entertain 100 customers. I entertained nearly every table beginning with level 5 (when we first get an entertainer) and received the trophy on level 19.
Tip: You can entertain a table whether they are unhappy or happy.
Level 1
The challenge for this level is to walk 100 yards.
Tip: Emily can walk back and forth between tables, even when not delivering food. Have her do this in between customers to help reach the goal.
To make the sandwich, click on each ingredient from left to right. Notice that not all sandwiches will use all the ingredients. To restock the tomatoes, click on one in the garden.
Emily will have to clean tables in the early levels. To do this, click on the dirty table and she will clean it. Customers will not sit down at a dirty table.
There is a Photo Moment in the story scene before this level.

Level 2
The challenge for this level is to put up the decorations. Click on the exclamation point and Emily will walk to the location and begin to work. You can interrupt her at any time by clicking on a food item or the register. Send her back to the decorations in between customers.
Customers will now request bouquets. They will be either three of one type of flower, or one of each flower. Click on the flower three times for a same kind bouquet, and click on each one from left to right for a mixed bouquet.
Tip: This is a good level to earn Paige's Name Sign. Put two donuts on your tray and eventually you will have a customer to place that order.

Level 3
The challenge for this level is to get five "quick" bonuses.
Tip: You'll have to skip making serving chains until you get your five. However, if a customer orders flowers, you'll not be able to get a quick bonus because the bouquet takes so long. This means you should plan a chain when you see a customer order flowers.

Challenge: Infestation
The challenge for this level is to find 33 mice.
Tip: There will be more than you need, so don't worry if you don't click on one fast enough.
Level 4
The challenge for this level is to accept the packages from Chuck the delivery man. When he arrives, a door bell sound will be heard. Click on him and Emily will accept the package. Wait too long, and he will leave.
The lemonade is located beside Paige in the upper left hand. To refill the glasses, click on the pitcher and Paige will pour it. You can have a maximum of five glasses stacked.

Challenge: Terrible Tray
In this level the tray will slowly break until there is only one spot.
Level 5
The challenge for this level is to only serve complete orders.
Billy Junior is available to entertain now. Click on the table you wish to entertain, and after he does his tricks the table will gain one heart.
To make ribs, click on the meat and it will go to the grill. When it is done, the sizzling will stop. Click on it quickly or it will burn, You can grill two at a time.

Level 5
The challenge for this level is to only serve complete orders.
Billy Junior is available to entertain now. Click on the table you wish to entertain, and after he does his tricks the table will gain one heart.

Challenge: Your Inner Botanist
Only flowers are ordered in this level.
Tip: If you have a hard time making the needed score, wait until you have upgraded your flowers and try again. The upgraded flowers are faster and earn more tips.
Level 6
The challenge for this level is to serve the committee. Including their order in a chain will not give you a combo bonus.
Drinks are now available. Click on the glass. When the meter is in the green, click on the glass again. If you wait too long, it will spill and you'll have to start over. Emily can walk away from the drink and prepare another item as long as you click on the glass in time.

The challenge for this level is to get the first star in the first half.
Tip: Concentrate on quick bonuses and combo bonuses.

The challenge for this level is to not loose any VIP customers.
Tip: They have low patience, so don't make them wait to make a chain combo.
Level 8
The challenge for this level is to find the scouts. They will pop up in various locations; click on him/her. They will pop up more than needed, so don't worry if you don't get one clicked in time.

The challenge for this level is to serve five ecstatic customers of each type. Ecstatic customers have a full five hearts.
Tip: Be sure to use Billy Jr to entertain tables to bring tables to five stars before you serve them.
Tip: If you have trouble completing this challenge, you can always lower the difficulty level to beginner; customers arrive with five hearts in the beginner levels.

Challenge: Cloudy Day
Every customer enters in a bad mood in this level. In addition, you have a smaller tray than usual.
Tip: Use Billy Jr to entertain table customers back to a good mood.
Tip: If you can't succeed with this challenge, drop your difficulty setting to a less difficult one.
Level 10
The challenge for this level is to make every product in the garden, including all variations of the sandwich.
Tip: There is no guarantee that every product will be ordered, so have Emily make them all in between customers.

The challenge for this level is to serve 10 ecstatic customers.
Tip: If you have trouble with this challenge, replay it after you have purchased the eagle to entertain.
Coffee is poured the same way as the drinks in Emily's Garden.
To toast a marshmallow, click on it and Emily will flip it to the campfire. It is done when the sizzling sounds stops. Don't wait to long to pick it up or it will burn. You can cook up to three things on the fire at the same time.

Challenge: Safety First
In this level, you can't sell knives or matches to the children.
Tip: You will have to let the kids wait at the counter until they get mad enough to leave. Luckily, they have less patience than most customers so it doesn't take too long. Unlike other levels, you will not loose points for having a customer walk out.
Tip: Some kids will order another item with matches/knives. Do not serve them the other item, either.
To make the granola bar, first click on the granola bar and then the requested ingredients from left to right. Note that the granola will not always use all the ingredients, so check your order carefully. Also note that you'll have to restock the strawberries (or other ingredient depending on which granola you are using) by picking them. Picking a strawberry will only give one. You can have a maximum of five in a stack.
Customers will now request paddles for the canoe, so keep an eye on the lake as well.
Level 12
The challenge for this level is to repack the backpack. Click on it for Emily to begin packing. Click on any item or the register to interrupt her. Send her back to it between customers.

The challenge for this level is to serve 10 customers within a minute. You can see how many customers you've served in the upper right hand corner.
Tip: Let your first three or four customers stack up so that you'll have several to serve at once. Then, quickly serve your customers until you make it to 10.

Level 14
The challenge for this level is to find the plants for Enid. Locations marked below.

Customers can now climb the rocks and will request chalk.

Challenge Level: Really Messy
The challenge for this level is to clean the extra large messes made by some customer. Emily will have to clean these tables.
Level 16
The challenge for this level is to give the model parts to Enid. (Locations marked below.) When she requests one, click on it for Emily to pick it up, then click on Enid for Emily to deliver it.

The challenge for this level is to use only two spots on your tray.
Tip: If you have trouble making three stars on this level without serving combos, play it twice: once to complete the challenge, and then a second time ignoring the challenge and working for three stars.
Soup is now available. The soup pot will occasionally have an exclamation point over it and make a noise, which means it needs to be stirred. Click on it for Emily to stir it. If you wait too long, it will spill over and Emily will have to clean the pot, which take longer.

In this level, you can't waste any products.
Level 18
The challenge for this level is to clean three tables in a row, three times.
Tip: You will have to let the tables/counter seats wait until you can clean three in a row. You may have customers leave because they can't get a table and as a result, may have a hard time achieving three stars. If that happens, replay it ignoring the challenge, and work for three stars.

The challenge for this level is to not serve anyone for 30 seconds. The timer on the upper right hand will count it for you.

Challenge: Catch the Wave
Customers come in groups in this level.
Level 20
The challenge for this level is to accept the packages from Chuck the delivery man. When he arrives, a door bell sound will be heard. Click on him and Emily will accept the package. Wait too long, and he will leave.

The challenge for this level is to entertain at least five tables.
Tip: To entertain a customer, click on the entertainer and then on the table. Entertaining a table with give the customers one added heart. It will not, however, prevent a table from loosing a heart. You do not have to wait for a table to be unhappy before entertaining.
Tip: You can entertain the same table multiple times and get credit each time.
To make the hamburger, click on the ingredients from left to right.

Emily has to clean tables in this level.
Click on the box to restock the souvenirs. You can have a maximum of four in a stack.
Snow cones are prepared the same way as the drinks in previous levels.
Level 22
The challenge for this level is to find the tosses hamburgers. Locations marked below.

The challenge for this level is to create 40 sugary snacks (cotton candy or snow cones).
Tip: You will not have 40 ordered, so you'll want to load your tray with cotton candy (it's quickest) in between customers until you prepare enough.

Challenge: Party Hard
The challenge for this level is to serve the parties, with only two spots on your tray.
To fry the corn dogs, click on the food and it will go in the fryer. The frying sound will stop when it is done. Don't wait too long to pick it up or it will burn. Once it is fried, click on it and it will go to the stack. You can have a maximum of seven in a stack. To prepare it, click on the fried corn dog and then on the topping.
Level 24
The challenge for this level is to take six photos of Evelyn and Paige on the Ferris wheel. You'll need to keep your eye on them, and when they rotate to the bottom of the wheel, click the camera.
Tip: Click on the camera when they are one from the bottom so that Emily will have time to walk there and take the photo.
Customers will now request the Ferris wheel. Click on the gondola for the customer to enter. You'll will have to help them exit as well.
There is no cleaner or entertainer in this level.

The challenge for this level is for Emily to 1000 yards. Send her back and forth to the tables in between customers to gain enough steps.

The challenge for this level is to find the tools for the repairman. Locations shown below. Click on the tool, then on the repairman.

The challenge for this level is to launch three full roller coaster. You'll have to make customers wait until the coaster is full,
To launch the roller coaster, press the button when the customer is seated. When the roller coaster returns, photos will spit out from the machine under the button. You need to pick the up and deliver to the roller coaster customers.

Challenge: Are You Not Entertained?
In this level, you get an extra 100 points for each time you entertain a table. The minimum score is very high, so be sure to entertain. You will not get credit if you entertain the same set of customers more than once.
Level 28
The challenge for this level is to blow up the inflatable man. Click on the exclamation points to send Emily there. You can interrupt her at any time by clicking on an item or the register.

The challenge for this level is to get 850 in tips.
Tip: Change your food in the food menu so that you are using food that add bonus tips.
Tip: If you can't pass it now, wait until you've unlocked all the upgraded food that gives bonus tips and retry the challenge.

Challenge: Money-Back Guarantee
In this level, you only receive points if you check out a customer with 5 stars.
Tip: If you find you just can't pass this challenge, switch your difficulty to beginner. All customers start with five stars on beginner.
Level 30
In this level you can not to serve any drinks (including slushies or snow cones) or fried snacks (the food made in the fryer) to kids.
Tip: You will have to ignore these customers until they get mad and leave.
There is a Photo Moment at the beginning of this level.

The challenge for this level is to get 20 combos, chains or bonuses.
To make the quiche, click first on the crust and then on the requested ingredient. It will then go into the oven. The oven will ding when it is done. Don't wait too long to get it out or it will burn. You can bake two at a time.
Soup will have to be stirred occasionally. Click on the soup pot when there is an exclamation point over it. If you wait too long, it will spill over and have to be cleaned.
To restock soup, click on the soup pot. You can have a maximum of seven in the stack.

Challenge: Hungry, Hungry Customers
On this level, table customers order twice.
I achieved more than the needed score, and yet was told that I had failed the challenge. When I replayed it, I won. The only thing I did that was different was that I made sure my last table was clean before I checked out my last customer. I don't know if that made a difference or not, but that is what I did.
Level 32
The challenge for this level is to put up the play tent. Click on the exclamation point and Emily will begin working on it. Click on any food item or the register to interrupt.
Fruit drinks are now available. Click on the fruit, then the glass. To restock, click on the fruit in the basket; you can have a maximum of eight in a stack.

The challenge for this level is to keep all customers at four or more hearts.
To make the birdhouse, click on the wood, then on the blueprint. You can have a stack of five at a time.
Quiche can be made with the mushrooms now. Restock them from the barrel; you can have a maximum of five in a stack. They will need to regrow after being picked.
Fruit can be made into pies now, too. Click first on the crust and then the pie.

Challenge: Two's a Charm
In this level, when checking out customers you only get credit if you check two or more customers together.
Level 34
The challenge for this level is to reassure Moon Blossom. When she comes on the screen, click on her for Emily to talk with her.
Tip: To earn 3 stars, I had to replay this level after I had unlocked all the products that give higher tips.

The challenge for this level is to create 45 restockable items.
Tip: You'll not have 45 ordered so you'll need to make extras and delete them from your tray. Restockable items are wooden items, soup, pies and fruit drinks.
Tip: You must put the restockable item on the tray for it to count.
Tip: Soup is the easiest to create, so fill your tray with soup several times until you have created it 45 times.
Customers will now sit for the artist and he will request his paint palette, which is kept behind the counter. Click on it and then on him. You will get a combo bonus for including his palette in a serving chain.

The challenge for this level is to alternate serving counter customers and table customers. The upper right hand circle will show which you served last, so that you don't have to try and remember.
Level 38
The challenge for this level is to serve Moon Blossom and Sun Lotus. You will not get a combo bonus for including their orders in a chain.

Challenge: We Want It Fresh
On this level, food items will spoil if kept on your tray for too long. There is a timer in the upper right hand which will show when a product is going to spoil.
Level 40
The challenge for this level is to have every product fully stocked at the end of the level.
Tip: Make your last table customers wait at the counter, using the entertainer to keep the table happy, while you finish stocking.
Tip: Here is what you need:
Woodworking items: 5
Carrots/Mushrooms: 5
Fruit: 8
Soup: 7

Note: On the grill menu, the beef says it is "flame resistant". That doesn't not mean that it won't burn; it just takes more time to burn.
Level 41
The challenge for this level is to retrieve the skis within 25 seconds. After someone uses the skis, they will come up on the conveyor belt; click on them to pick them up. Note that the timer begins as soon as the customer leaves with the skis.
Click on the steak for it to go to the grill. The sizzling sound will stop when it is done. Don't wait too long to pick it up, or it will burn. You can grill two items at a time.
To make the dessert tray, click on the strawberries three times.

Challenge: Sleepless Nights
In this level, Emily gets tired if she does too much. Keep an eye on the meter in the upper left to know when to give her a rest before adding another task.
Level 42
The challenge for this level is to receive the packages.
To make the drinks, click the glass and then the ingredients in order from top to bottom.

Level 43
The challenge for this level is to serve 5 of the same customers in a row. You'll have to make customers wait and get angry to achieve this, but use your dog to entertain.
Tip: The red-suited skiers seem to come in the most; they were the group I was able to serve.
Make coffee like in previous levels. Click on the cup and when the meter is in the green, click again.

Challenge: Grill Master
The challenge for this level is to make 25 grilled products.
Tip: You will not have enough customer orders to complete this task, and will need to make extra and delete them from your tray.
Tip: I switched the menu back to chicken, which grills the fastest.
Level 44
The challenge for this level is to untangle the skis. Click on the exclamation point for Emily to begin. Interrupt her by clicking on any item or the register. Click on the skis again for her to return.

The challenge for this level is to create 10 of each dessert type.
Tip: You'll not have enough customers order dessert, so you'll need to make extras and delete them from your tray.
Tip: An assorted dessert is now available. Click on each dessert from top to bottom to make it.

Challenge: Ms. Clean
The challenge for this level is to clean the tables within 13 seconds. The timer will start when the customers leave the table. Note that the table has to be completely cleaned before the 13 seconds is up.
Level 46
The challenge for this level is to serve Aaron and Marissa. You will not get a combo bonus for including their order in a serving chain.

Tip: Don't wait for serving chains, so that you can get the quick bonuses.
Tip: I had to switch my food items around so that I was using only items that had the quick symbol.

Challenge: Not Like They Used To
In this level the coffee maker and grill will break. They will need to be repaired 3x each before the end of the level.
Tip: It won't have an exclamation point over it when it breaks, but the it will look wrong (see both below). To repair the coffee maker, you'll need to click on the lid.

The challenge for this level is to find the ten pieces of garbage. Locations marked below.

The challenge for this level is to serve 8 angry customers. (I had to play this through twice; once to achieve the challenge, and once ignoring the challenge, to reach three stars.)
Tip: Make them wait until they have only one heart, then serve them.

Level 50
The challenge for this level is to serve a full tray of items three times.

The challenge for this level is to only use two spaces on your tray.
To make pancakes, click on the batter and it will go into the pan. The pancake will stop sizzling when the pancake is cooked. Don't wait too long or it will burn. You can have seven in a stack.
To serve pancakes, click on the cooked pancake, then on the appropriate topping.

In this level, the table customers order three times.
Level 52
The challenge for this level is to find Paige. As with the scouts in level 8, Paige will pop up in various locations.
Tip: Don't worry if you don't click in time once or twice, as she'll continue to appear until the end of the level or until she has been found eight times.
Making the tea is like making the other drinks. Click on the tea cup, then when the meter is in the green, click again. It will spill if you wait until it is in the red.

To make the sandwich, click on the correct ingredients in order from left to right.

The only customers in this level are the business people.

The challenge for this level is to receive the packages.

Challenge: Pancake Panic
The challenge for this level is to restock the pancakes within 8 seconds. Every time you serve pancakes, you have to make another set. The timer will help you keep track of it.

In this level, Emily walks faster.
Level 58
The challenge for this level is to put up the decorations. Click on the exclamation point to begin. You can interrupt Emily at any time but clicking on an item or the register. Send her back between customers until it is finished.

The challenge for this level is to walk 1500 yards.
Tip: Send Emily back and forth to the tables, even if there isn't an order for that table, in order to increase her steps.

In this level, customers can only line up in one line.
Level 60
The challenge for this level is to make everything in the restaurant.
Tip: You'll not have every item ordered by the customers, so you'll have to make some items and delete them from your tray.
Tip: I played this a second time, and changed the sandwich to the strawberry chocolate one. This made it easier to make all the products, as there were less to make.

ReplyDeleteJust fyi...Level 57 is now to get 1500 in tips and it's virtually IMPOSSIBLE to accomplish! I have unlocked eveything, using the items that give the biggest tips and still can't even get close to 1500.
ReplyDeleteI reinstalled it on the computer I'm using now, and I'll work my way up there and see if I have any luck. Did you try lowering your difficulty to Beginner, by the way?
DeleteI installed it and have played up to 57. It is still 1000 in tips on my version. Are you playing on PC or on iPad?

DeleteIf you click on the little plane in the hedge half circle on the map at Happy Funtime Land, then on the plane that flies through at the top, there is a flight mini game that opens up! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi Gypsi - dont know if your still reading these but I am replaying and in level one I cant update any menu items. Ive tried deleting game and reinstalling but no difference any ideas? I get the message saying new menu item unlocked but cant open them - all other levels are fine.
ReplyDeleteIf memory serves me right, it won't let you update menu items until a few levels into the game, when it introduces it in the tutorial. I'm betting you have the tutorial turned off (since you're familiar with the game). That is probably the problem.

I didnt explain my problem very well it was the whole of the garden levels 1 through 10 that I had problems with but I tried your idea about the tutorial and it insisted I purchased something from the shop (I dont usually bother till later levels) but once I bought one thing all the menu items upgraded!! Thanks again and thanks for your excellent advise in all the games xx

DeleteI've had that error too. I think it is because either my computer or the game is too old to be compatible. I never got it to work when I installed it on my computer via Big Fish games but when I used the gamehouse version, it works fine.
