"Heart's Medicine: Season One" Walkthrough and Tips

Heart's Medicine: Season One is a short (25 levels) time management game with a hospital theme. You play as Allison, a new resident, in 5 hospital locations.  It has a good basic walkthrough before the first level begins, after the introduction scenes.

The point of this game is to keep the patients happy so that they will check out with the highest possible amount of hearts.  The amount of hearts the patient has at checkout is added to your score. The faster you attend to the patients, the less likely they are to loose hearts.  If you help the patient before the color in their thought bubble drains out, you earn two hearts.  Patients that earn six hearts will have a golden heart.  Once a golden heart is gained, that patient will not loose hearts.

You earn a combo bonus of +1 when checking out two patients at the same time, an additional +2 when checking out three or more.  For golden heart patients, you get +2 and  +3.

Tip: You can right click to cancel your queued actions.

Mini Games are included in each level.  When the game is first introduced, you'll be walked through how to play it.

Some of the levels will have special challenges to be completed.  You won't fail the level if you don't complete the task, but you will earn hearts if you do.

There are 10 GameHouse Objects (Easter Eggs based on other GameHouse games) hidden in some of the levels.  They will be noted in the following walkthrough.

Shop
You can access the shop between levels and buy upgrades for the department.  Upgrades are purchased with the hearts you have earned.  Hover over the upgrade and it will tell what bonus it gives.

Trophies
Trophies are earned as items for Allison's office.  Most will be earned simply by playing through the game.

The Secret Trophy: click on Stan the janitor in the lobby to earn this trophy.

Small Present Collection: Collect 50 presents.  Presents are given when a patient has a golden heart, so essentially, you need to check out 50 golden heart patients.  Once you collect 100, you will earn the Large Present Collection.

Oliver the Guinea Pig

The guinea pig shows up in each shift. Sometimes he runs across the floor and sometimes he stays in a location for a few seconds.  He makes a squeaking sound when he runs across the floor or pops up in a location.  He will continue to come back throughout the level, if you don't find him.  You will earn one heart for finding him.  If you find him all 25 times, you will earn the trophy "Hamstering Guineapigs".  Screenshots have been provided for the levels when he stays in one location.

Introduction Scenes:
There will be mini games in the introduction scenes.  You will be told just what to do, and it is not timed.  Here is the location of the hidden items:

    1. I'm sorry, but I can't help you with the new version. I don't know what changes may have been made. In this version, though, Stan (the janitor) cleans in the lobby (the screen where you choose what levels). If you click on him, you get a trophy.

  3. Thanks for the tips and tricks. I have a hard time detecting which organism to choose. This is the one where you have to look through a microscope. Any tips on how to pick the right ones.

    1. I'm glad some of it is helpful! For the microscope game, look at the bottom of the mini game screen. It will say "cores" and have a number, "color" and show a color, and "edge' and show a picture of what the edge of the cell will look like. Cores are the little red dots inside, and the edge is, of course, what it looks like around the edge of the cell. You'll need to find the right cells that match that description. I hope I have explained it well enough!
